Mens Pennants

The Club teams have had a successful run in the Aorangi Assn. Mens Pennant competitions this season with 3 teams making the finals.
The Senior Team just missed making the final of the Holmes Cup after losing their semi against Rakaia on count back. The teams tied the semi match and round robin results saw Rakaia qualify for the final. All the same an excellent season for the clubs top team. It has been a number of years since the Club has made the Holmes Cup division.
The Redpath team continued their round robin form and won their semi at Temuka 11.5 to .5 against Tinwald. They now play Geraldine in the final at St Andrews on Sept 18th
The Patterson team won their semi final against Fairlie 10 - 7 and now play top qualifiers Pl. Point also at St Andrews.
In the Alexander Cup section the Temuka B side were top qualifiers and meet Mayfield in the final after beating Pl. Point 12 - 5 in the semi. Temuka A finished 2nd in their pool but 36 points was not enough to make the semis.
The Moyes team were 3rd in their pool with 42 points but a default to them in the last round did not help there quest to make the semis.
With 2 round to go the Penney Salver team are 4th, 9 points behind 2nd so need 2 good wins to close this gap and have a chance to make the semis

Congratulations to all the team for their performance thru the season and good fortune to the teams in the finals on Sept. 18th.
